“We don't have any romantic numbers,” said ‘Golmaal-Fun Unlimited’ director Rohit Shetty at the music release function of his second film after ‘Zameen’ at a star studded event at Fame Multiplex in Malad. “It was a great help from music directors Vishal and Shekhar, who kept in mind the youth while making the music. The album has a lot of foot tapping and peppy numbers along with a track with the late 50's touch. All together it is quite balanced music, for everyone,” he added. Kajol who is basking in the glory of a terrific ‘Fanaa’ was the chief guest at the occasion.

The music was first released at the Radiocity Radio Station (91 FM), followed by launch at Fame Multiplex, where the film promos were screened. ‘Golmaal – Fun Unlimited’ revolves around the lives of Gopal (Ajay Devgan), Lucky (Tusshar Kapoor), Mahadev (Arshad Warsi) and Laxmi (Sharman Joshi) – 4 guys bound together by their child like notoriety, aimlessness and petty business of conning people for fun and money.

Vishal - Shekhar, who had previously composed music for hits like Salaam Namaste, Bluffmaster, Taxi No. 9211, and many more chart bursting numbers have composed music of ‘Golmaal - Fun Unlimited’. The title song of the film, Golmaal, is sung by Shaan, KK and Vishal Dadlani. It is also played as background score throughout the film. The album also has four remixes done by Akbar Sami.
